A small-cohort spiritual coaching program for Black Christians who sense God is inviting them into deeper alignment and who are ready to respond with their lives.
WE HAVE NOT YET RECOVERED
We have been living through at least a five-year cycle of perpetual exhaustion.
Physically.
Mentally.
Emotionally.
Spiritually.
Socially.
Politically.
Economically.
It has been a season of extreme challenge and extreme change – shaped not only by the world around us, but also by the work of God within us.
This means that – on top of our everyday challenges – many of us feel we’ve been in an unrelenting spiritual gauntlet: being called out of old patterns, seeing ourselves and others with new clarity, and being drawn away from self-reliance, toward greater dependence on God at every turn.
It has been overwhelming.
Gut-wrenching.
And often lonely.
The truth of “how we’re doing” is simple and sobering:
We have not yet recovered.
But we’ve still kept it moving, sometimes with small improvement and often with more disruption, but always without creating room to truly hear and heal.
And we’ve kept it moving because we think that’s what life or even requires for us.
But what if that’s the opposite of what God is leading you to do in this season? What if moving forward isn’t the only direction that matters to God?
What if, in order to truly move forward on God’s timeline for our lives, you must first go deeper?
GOING DEEPER IS ACTIVE RECOVERY
In exercise science, active recovery temporarily deprioritizes intensity in order to restore capacity. After prolonged strain, continuing to push forward can increase the risk of injury or deepen misalignment.
Rather than pushing harder, active recovery moderates intensity and reduces load, shifting toward lower-impact, foundational movement that sustains the body’s ability to move well over time. Movement continues, but it’s for the purpose of longevity rather than output.
Active recovery is not reactive. It is proactive, restoring readiness and preventing breakdown before injury or burnout occur.
DEEPER applies this same wisdom to the spiritual and vocational life.
Rather than prioritizing urgency or resolution, DEEPER temporarily deprioritizes output in order to restore clarity, capacity, and reorientation after prolonged challenge and change.
DEEPER: A Reset for the BLACK + CALLED is the spiritual and directional application of active recovery – restoring capacity before asking for forward movement, so what comes next is sustainable, aligned, and faithful rather than forced.
WHAT DEEPER IS NOT
DEEPER IS NOT A COURSE
This is not a course to rush through or content to consume passively. It is a facilitated space for reflection, conversation, discernment, and deep attentiveness to God, self, and one another.
DEEPER IS NOT A CHALLENGE
This program resists urgency and premature resolution. It centers rejuvenation before acceleration, listening before doing, and discernment that leads to faithful direction.
DEEPER IS NOT A PERFORMANCE-BASED FAST
While DEEPER may include spiritual fasting practices familiar to many at the start of the year, it is not a Daniel Fast nor a discipline flex. DEEPER is a multi-faceted discernment journey, where what is released is intentionally replaced with clarity, direction, and renewed capacity.
THE EXPERIENCE + INVESTMENT
The total investment for this full four-week, live, guided experience is $97 total – less than $25 a week.

Weekly live sessions (60–90 minutes) grounded in Scripture and coaching-informed facilitation
Guided reflection and discernment practices designed for use during and between sessions
Space for communal processing and connection within a small, intentional cohort
Optional reduced-rate one-to-one coaching for participants seeking additional support
Downloadable reflection materials and integration practices to support thoughtful movement between gatherings
Access to session recordings (when applicable)
The total cost of this program is less than the cost of a single coaching session in most spaces.
Here, it provides four weeks of guided discernment, sustained support, and invaluable, like-minded community.
